Pammie the Virgin?!?

Did I hear it right? Pamela Anderson, the world's most famous sex bomb/goddess will be playing the biblical Virgin Mary in an upcoming Canadian TV show called "A Russell Peters Christmas".

Pammie will be on a comedy show which will present to viewers "an irreverent twist on the Christmas special making it unlike anything viewers have seen before." Also starring, along with the blonde bombshell, are Michael Buble, John Lovitz and Ted Lange.

These days you can't seem to avoid running into some news about reality hottie Kim Kardashian. She just somehow ends up in the news no matter how hard you try to avoid it. There was the steamy sex video with Ray J, then the whirlwind marriage to Kris Humphries, the lavish wedding and the subsequent divorce 72 days later. *tsk*

Britney gets no love in UK?

What's this? It seems pop queen Britney Spears is unable to sell ALL of her concert tickets for her upcoming Femme Fatale concert at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England. 

Apparently “It’s probably about half-full. There’s good availability”, according to official ticket sellers. Promoters have also recently dropped ticket pricing from £30 down from £55 through social selling website Groupon.

Now come on, UK fans! Where is the love? If I were in England, I would definitely go catch Britney in action up close and personal! Sheesh!...

English Premier League 2011: Hail the New Kings of Manchester

So... The King is dead, Long live the King!

That must have been in the thoughts of every Manchester City fan, when City dealt a devastating defeat to Alex Ferguson's Machester United at Old Trafford.

It's always me!

Mario Balotelli scored two goals, and Kun Aguero paved the way for a big victory with a superb predatory goal, as Rooney and Co appeared helpless to stem the City tide. In fact, Dzeko should have made it 4-0 but he blew his chance just seconds after making his appearance as a substitute. However, Darren Fletcher did score for United to erase some of the blushes for the Champs.

Then Dzeko made amends for his earlier with a knee tap to make it 4-1, and David Silva showed his class by adding to United's misery with a brilliant goal, and Kun Aguero finished the game with a final goal of the night as the Champions capitulated, to make it an unbelievable 6-1.

I just can't stop scoring!

 But now United's "noisy neighbours" are firmly in the driver's seat, sitting comfortably at the top of the league table, and Ferguson must be cracking his head thinking " how to beat these guys?..."

Arghhh! What a disaster!!

Christina Aguilera: "The Voice" Fade Out?

The rumor mill has been spinning in Hollywood lately that the  "Beautiful" songstress Christina Aguilera is earmarked to be booted out of the next season of the hit tv show "the Voice". Apparently "She doesn't spend time with her contestants like she's supposed to. She doesn't participate," a source reportedly mentioned. "She spends most of her time on set with her boyfriend."

However, NBC has pooh-poohed that rumor. "There is absolutely no truth to the rumor," said Paul Telegdy, an executive  for NBC.

In the meantime, Xtina has a massive hit in her hands in the song "Moves Like Jagger" (with Marroon 5). The single has topped the charts,currently spending its fourth week at the top of the Billboard 100 singles chart.

English Premier League: Lukewarm start for Reds

With all the hype surrounding Liverpool's new boys, ie Stuart Downing, Charlie Adam, Jose Enrique and to a certain extent Andy Carroll, you would've thought that the Reds would have blown Sunderland away with all that firepower (which also includes Luis Suarez). 

Unfortunately Liverpool could only muster up a boring draw with Sunderland (1-1) despite playing at home...

Adam...played well, made the goal for Suarez

Yes, it's only the first game of the season, and a few players made their EPL debut with Liverpool, but watching them totally dominate the first half and then run out of steam in the second half was sorely disappointing.

Also disappointing was witnessing the many missed opportunities of Andy Carroll, who should have at least scored one goal, but instead muffed all chances.

The Reds had better improve soon to avoid another disastrous season.

Taylor Swift won big at the latest Teen Choice Awards recently, bagging 6 wards, plus the Ulitmate Choice award.

Selena Gomez came second, winning 5 awards.

Other notable highlights:

-        -  Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe won instead for their hallucinated-by-Ron makeout session in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.”
