Football: Oh Where Oh Where Have all My Goals Gone... Wonders Torres

Looks like Spanish hotshot Fernando “El Nino” Torres has still been unable to score his first goal for Chelsea, since making the switch from Liverpool in January this year.

Chelsea’s most recent game was against Copenhagen in a European Champion’s League game, but the match ended up in a drab 0-0 draw (with Chelsea going through on a 2-0 aggregate).

Torres has so far played in 6 games for Chelsea, and until now has failed to break the duck, confounding critics and fans alike.

Nightmare start with Chelsea

He still has the support of his Chelsea manager though, who said "For the strikers it's important to score. In my opinion Torres has played well for the team and has done what I asked him to do on the pitch.

"The only problem is because he's a new player and he needs to know our kind of play better but I think he will score." said Ancelotti. But that's what Ancelotti said before the Copenhagen game, and Torres failed to get on the scoresheet again...

If the US$81m Torres’ goal draught continues, I wonder how long before the patience of Chelsea fans, his manager and the Russian big boss Roman Abramovich, run out.

All I can say is, Shevchenko, anyone?

Here are some better memories of Torres, in his glory days with Liverpool:

You Wanna Win Like Sheen?

You just can't keep a "Two and a Half Man" down... Charlie Sheen has been hogging all the press lately despite being fired by his hit series' tv production house. It's totally hilarious reading about his rants on radio, twitter, talk shows and the press in general.

Instead of being down and out, ol' Charlie has taken the fight to the production company and shows no sign of backing down.

Charlie's angels

So how do you be a "winner" like Sheen? Well, you have to be able to do some of these things:

1. Bad mouth and then get fired from a hit tv series that was paying him US$1-2m per episode;

Sexy porn goddess Bree

2. Cavort with "goddesses"/porn stars, preferably in threesomes where possible;

Cheers!

3. Join Twitter and have 1 million followers in one day (in record time -  he's now exceeded 2 million);

4. Have tiger blood in his veins;

5. "Bang seven gram rocks";

6.  Sue Warner Bros for US$100 million damages!

7. Sell out his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" live tour in just 18 minutes!

He's winning

So is Charlie Sheen still "winning"?

He's doing great so far, but only time will tell. It certainly is fun to follow his exploits!

Cheers, Charlie!

Lee Chong Wei Slays the Dragon in England!

Congats to Malaysian Lee Chong Wei, who took on and defeated the fearsome Chinese dragon Lin Dan at the All England Singles Final 2011 with the scoreline 21-17, 21-17.

Defending champ Chong Wei, who usually ends up in second place whenever he faced Lin Dan in big finals, came up with the answers today. Chong Wei played a confident attacking game to stump Lin Dan, and caught the Chinese flat footed with an array of fast drop shots and smashes. Chong Wei played smart to keep his nose in the lead throughout the game, as Lin Dan tried desperately to catch up.
Both players showed incredible lightning reflexes and nimble footwork in an exciting contest the thrilled the crowd in Birmingham.

Surely Chong Wei has proved the critics in Malaysia wrong by winning in for the second time in badminton's most prestigious tournament.

I guess this time Chong Wei's fans can really shout "Malaysia Boleh!"
