Blast from the (not so distant) past: Jessica Simpson

I'm sure everybody kind of remembers super blonde babe Jessica Simpson. She was a famous singer, then actress (everyone surely remember her in her daisy dukes), and reality tv star (with her ex, Nick).

Anyway, those days are gone for the moment, but Jessica has been keeping busy making money in the fashion industry. She told New York Magazine that she is now a "fashion mogul" and aims to make $1 billion from her Jess fashion line.

The appeal of her clothing line is as simple as branding the star's image at affordable price points and appealing to all ages:

"A girl could go to the shopping mall with her mom and she'd have a great new outfit and still have some money left for lunch at McDonald's. She can look like Jessica Simpson, smell like Jessica Simpson, and she can afford it." says Jessica's manager.

Jessica  says."When it comes to other celebrity brands, I think a lot of people do a great job, but it can't be all about them. Everybody doesn't want to just look like the celebrity, because they can't. They just want one element of that style."
